A Streetcar Named Desire is a 1947 play written by Tennessee Williams. The story revolves around Blanche Dubois, a Southern belle from Laurel, Mississippi, who goes to live with her sister, Stella Kowalski, and her husband, Stanley, in their apartment in French Quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana. Having not been close with Stella over the years as well as never meeting Stanley, issues arise.
